Checklist
The restoration search visibility checklist
Quick answer
Use this checklist to review how visible and credible your restoration company looks online. It covers your Google Business Profile, website, business listings, reviews, and AI search presence. Checking every box does not guarantee rankings or calls, but gaps on this list are common reasons a strong operator looks weaker online than a competitor.
Google Business Profile
- Primary category matches your core service.
- Secondary categories cover other real services (water, fire, mold, reconstruction).
- Each service is listed with a plain description.
- Service area reflects where you actually respond.
- Hours are accurate, including how emergency availability is shown.
- Real job, crew, and equipment photos added regularly.
Website
- A dedicated page for each core service.
- Clear service-area information without thin duplicate city pages.
- Business name and contact details match your profile.
- Insurance-claim and process explanations for homeowners.
- Only certifications your company genuinely holds are listed.
- Pages load quickly on a phone.
- Accurate structured data for the business.
Listings and consistency
- Name, phone, and website match across major directories.
- Old addresses or phone numbers are corrected.
- No duplicate profiles.
Reviews
- New reviews arrive regularly, not in one burst years ago.
- Every customer is asked; no gating.
- Responses to all reviews, including critical ones.
- Reviews mention a range of real job types.
AI search
- Ask major assistants common homeowner questions for your area.
- Note whether and how your company is described.
- Fix inaccuracies at the source.
- Recheck periodically.
